Grace- The finished works of the cross part 2

It has been an honor to share the good news with you about the amazing grace of God.

I want to continue on expounding upon this revelation I have been chewing on will continue to chew on for life...

We left off talking about the curse on the earth as a result of Adam and Eve sinning in the Garden.  I want to show you how redemptive the work on the cross truly is.  It is complete, it is wonderful, and it is so good its unbelievable to the natural mind.

On the most significant day in history, Jesus became the curse for all of mankind.

"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it is written: Everyone who is hung on a tree is cursed." Galatians 3:13

He took upon Him all the sin of the world, all the self righteousness, self-consciousness, poverty, lack, and destroyed it once and for all.  He opened the gates of heaven and gave us the most ridiculous promise beyond our comprehension.  He did what we could never do.

He created a reality that continues to confound the wise.  Its a reality that is foolishness to those who do not believe.

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is God's power to us who are being saved" 1 corinthians 1:18

He told us that we no longer have to beat ourselves up when we make mistakes, nor do we have to earn our own salvation by doing everything perfect, nor do we have to be our own god's trusting in our efforts and will power to sustain us. He told us that He has done everything we cannot, and then freely gave us His life.

His work on the cross implies so much more than we know, it means that He destroyed the law of sin that governed us and then He gave us a new law.  Its called the law of life.  It is beautiful:

" because the Spirit's law of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death." Romans 8:2

Wow!  That means I live under a law of abundance that transcends the ways of poverty, lack, guilt, shame, deception, and all the things that came with the curse that Jesus destroyed.

You see, it is all about His GRACE!  The way we tap into this unlimited source of goodness is not by works, its not by your own skillfulness, your own righteousness, your own track record, your own cunning skills.  NO!

There is only one way,  that is by Mr. Grace Himself, Jesus.

So what are you saying Adam, all I have to do is sit around and believe?   Uhh… Precisely.  Because when you truly believe, you will fall so madly in love, that you cannot help but outwork every striving person out there.

Check it out:

"Jesus replied, "This is the work of God--that you believe in the One He has sent." John 6:29

The implications of actually believing in Jesus and what He has accomplished on the cross is far greater than most of us believe, and that is the problem.  Most of us are still trying to receive something that is believable, something that we can earn, something we feel we deserve, something that we can wrap our heads around.  We so naturally only believe what we think is possible.

If we still have those beliefs deep inside of us than we negate the power of faith.

Heres what I mean:

"It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.  For if those who live by law are heirs, faith has no value and the promise is worthless," Romans 4:13-14

You see the law was all about doing it yourself, independent, separate from God. But If we decide to live by the law, then faith HAS NO VALUE!

Trusting Him more and more is the way inherit all that God has for us.

We are now a people of inheritance, not a people of works.  We have received His glorious nature at no cost to us and everything to Him.  Its amazing because this thing is sooo outrageously good that only child like faith will allow us to receive this kingdom.  (matthew 18:3)

We now see that the whole idea of self-improvement through our efforts is a fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.   The same tree God commanded Adam and Eve not to eat from.  The good news is that Jesus destroyed the curse at the cross, He destroyed that old cursed self and made us new creations in Him.  Now we get to eat fruit from the tree of life.  Yay!

I understand this revelation may be hard to take in, it may sound ridiculous, but all I ask is that you have an open mind.  Your life depends on it.  It would be foolish to disregard something just because we do not understand it.

I mean, we do it every day.   We take what the news tells us is fact, we get into the car with perfect strangers just because they have a yellow car and so on…

I know that if you meditate on this revelation and continue to seek the truth you will be set free from depression, poverty, lack, anger, sickness, hopelessness, and you will be filled with His love, patience, peace, and exuberant joy.

Its so ridiculously good that it is impossible to believe this to be true.

This is why we must renew our minds to truth so that we may soar victoriously in this life.  CHRIST paid for it!

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12;2

Determine to ask God every day to make the revelation of His love and grace more and more real to you every day.  The result will truly be life, and life more abundantly.

God bless you!
